It's amazing how long the process took from start to finish. I contacted HGTV about a year ago. It aired on Thanksgiving and today I just got a copy of the TV show to post. I've uploaded it to YouTube and it's pretty fun to watch. I managed to get a copy to all the people who helped me film or allowed us to use their business as promised. Im grateful to everyone who helped pull it off. Now it's just a memory.
I had no idea when I sent that first email what a crazy ride it would become. It took loads of emails, video calls, filmed auditions, and a ton of paperwork to pull it off. 5 days of filming, in 2 countries and dozens of locations to get 22 minutes of footage. Everyone asks what it was like for me. It was equal measures of fun and stress. Trying to sound natural when you already said it take after take was a challenge. I have a whole new appreciation for actors doing it for a living. We had lots of laughs while filming and I would definately do it again given the chance. If you want to know how I did it feel free to shoot me a note. I'm happy to share my process. Maybe you too could have your 22 minutes of fame. If you haven't seen it yet you can check out the show at: www.youtube.com/channel/UCMJXRq67MlWJCXlOcCzNDKg
